Here at Building Compassion, we build for the neighbor; we build compassion in the volunteer. Our mission is to advance the Gospel by restoring homes and reviving the spirit of service in the next generation.
Where compassion meets construction!
We are excited to announce our upcoming project at Recovery Contacts Inc. (RCI) in Corpus Christi. RCI is a sober living and recovery organization dedicated to helping individuals break free from addiction and rebuild their lives. With seven homes serving the community, one property, known as “Dane’s House”, is currently in need of extensive repairs — a need our team is honored to step in and meet. We are partnering with a local contractor Kingdom Way Works to bring this building back to life. Dane’s House is a four-plex unit with 16 beds, along with a meeting room and office space in the rear. The meeting room serves as a hub for multiple public gatherings each week. This project will involve significant structural and interior work — including roofing, siding, foundation repairs, and interior improvements.
Recovery Contacts Inc. is a sober living organization, offering a safe, structured, and accountable environment for men, women, and veterans, committed to rebuilding their lives. They focus on stability, personal responsibility, and long-term recovery to help residents transition into healthy, independent living.
One of their homes includes two dedicated spots for men with children. This allows fathers to remain connected to their children while working closely with Child Protective Services to meet reunification and compliance goals.
Residents benefit from a structured daily routine, peer accountability, and recovery-based expectations. RCI provides guidance on life skills, employment readiness, personal growth, and community involvement to ensure each individual has the tools necessary to succeed.
Overall, the program offers a supportive and disciplined environment where adults can regain stability, rebuild trust, and move forward with purpose.
